From the ruins, the remains of the masonry have been preserved up to this day. Its disadvantage is certain remoteness from the touristically most attractive places of Vranov Dam. The first mention of the Castle dates back to 1250. Sometime between 1283 and 1286, being the seat of highwaymen, the castle was captured by the Austrians. Since the 15th century it has been deserted.
